Quang Trach District
Quảng Trạch ( listen) is a district of Quảng Bình province in the North Central Coast of Vietnam. The district capital is Ba Đồn. This district is divided into 34 commune-level subdivisions and faces the South China Sea.
The Special Economic Zone surrounding Hòn La Port is located in this district. Hòn La has a capacity for vessels up to 10,000 metric tons, and may handle up to 12 million metric tons at full capacity. A coal-fueled thermalelectrical plant with a total designed capacity of 2,400 MW was built by Petrovietnam in 2009.
