Quadrajet
In automobile mechanics, the Quadrajet is a four barrel carburetor made by the Rochester Products Division of GM that was widely used in General Motors motor vehicles until 1990. Its first applications were the new for 1966 Chevy 327ci 275 hp engine and Buick's 425ci and 401ci motors with and without the California Air Injection Reactor (A.I.R) option, also known as Secondary Air Injection. The Chevy 327ci 275 hp motor, succeeded the 250 hp version with the venerable Carter WCFB, and the 300 hp version with the Carter AFB. Its last application was on the Oldsmobile 307 V8 engine, which was last used in the Cadillac Brougham and full size station wagons made by Chevrolet, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, and Buick.
