Qazi Motahar Hossain (Bengali: কাজী মোতাহার হোসেন) was a Bangladeshi author, scientist, statistician and journalist. He had intimate friendship with poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, Kazi Abdul Odud. He was a well known chess player as well.
