Project Runeberg is named after Finland's national poet Johan Ludvig Runeberg. The name also has a double meaning as Rune (letter in the Runic script) and berg (mountain) can, in most of the Nordic languages, be translated loosely to "Mountain of letters". Finally, the name is similar to "Gutenberg".
