Prem and April 2009 Protest of Thaksin's Supporters

Famous quotes containing the words april, protest and/or supporters:
“lady through whose profound and fragile lips
the sweet small clumsy feet of April came
into the ragged meadow of my soul.”

“I protest that if some great Power would agree to make me always think what is true and do what is right, on condition of being turned into a sort of clock and would up every morning before I got out of bed, I should instantly close with the offer.”
—Thomas Henry Huxley (182595)
“No Government can be long secure without a formidable Opposition. It reduces their supporters to that tractable number which can be managed by the joint influences of fruition and hope. It offers vengeance to the discontented, and distinction to the ambitious; and employs the energies of aspiring spirits, who otherwise may prove traitors in a division or assassins in a debate.”
—Benjamin Disraeli (18041881)
