Famous quotes containing the words formation, powell and/or corporation:

The formation of an oppositional world view is necessary for feminist struggle. This means that the world we have most intimately known, the world in which we feel “safe” ... must be radically changed. Bell (c. 1955)

I do not keep a diary. Never have. To write a diary every day is like returning to one’s own vomit.
    —J. Enoch Powell (b. 1912)

The nearest the modern general or admiral comes to a small-arms encounter of any sort is at a duck hunt in the company of corporation executives at the retreat of Continental Motors, Inc.
    C. Wright Mills (1916–1962)
