Geography
Poltava Oblast is situated in the central part of Ukraine. It has an area of 28,800 km². The oblast’ borders upon Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovs’k, Kirovohrad, Cherkasy and Kiev regions.
