- In Pokémon Red and Blue and its remakes, Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, there's a Scientist at Silph Co. in Saffron City during the Team Rocket takeover of the building that refers to a supposed branch of the company in the Russian city of Tiksi. However, in the original Japanese releases, he refers to the branch as being in Ponaya Tunguska (ポナヤツングスカ, Ponaya Tsungusuka?) instead. This is a reference to Podkamennaya Tunguska.
