India

In India, a two-year diploma program with hospital training after completion of the course is the minimum requirement for registration as a pharmacist. Students may also take up a bachelor in pharmacy program (four years) for registration as a pharmacist. Unlike UK, M.Pharm is a PG program for 2 years in India which can be done only after successful completion of B.Pharm. So, it takes 6 years to do M.Pharm in India. Various colleges offer diploma to PhD program in pharmacy.
