Paradise Bay is a harbour in West Antarctica. It is one of only two ports used for cruise ships to stop on the continent; the other is Neko Harbour.
The Argentine scientific base, Almirante Brown Antarctic Base, is located on the banks of Paradise Bay, as is the Chilean scientific base, González Videla Antarctic Base.
Famous quotes containing the words paradise and/or bay:
“We, who have already borne on the road to Paradise the lives of the best among us, want a difficult, erect, implacable Paradise; a Paradise where one can never rest and which has, beside the threshold of the gates, angels with swords.”
—J.A. (José Antonio)
“The seagulls wings shall dip and pivot him,
Shedding white rings of tumult, building high
Over the chained bay waters Liberty
Then, with inviolate curve, forsake our eyes”
—Hart Crane (18991932)
