Ork (Warhammer 40,000) - Gameplay

Gameplay

The gameplay of the orcs can be fairly straightforward. Orks are fairly easy to kill, but they make up for this by having a low points value, allowing players to field more models than a more "elite" opponent. Due to this, a favored strategy of orc players is called "The Green Tide". The strategy is an absolute war of attrition. The orc player simply purchases as many orcs as possible (with only a few squads for specialized purposes like providing anti-vehicle support) and marches across the board to drown their opponent through sheer numbers. The orcs are capable of more complex strategies however. This can be done with the use of specialized orcs like "kommandos", "burna boyz", "storm boyz", "meks", "flash gitz", "weird boyz", etc. Even so, orc gameplay is typically stylized by outnumbering the enemy and overcoming them through application of brute force. Because of this, orc gameplay is viewed as being fairly forgiving of tactical errors or bad rolls.
