Orange Line (Montreal Metro)
The Orange Line (French: Ligne orange), also known as Line 2 (French: Ligne 2), is the longest, most congested, and first-planned of the four lines of the Montreal Metro, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It formed part of the initial network, and was extended from 1980 to 1986. On April 28, 2007, three new stations in Laval opened; this is the second line to leave Montreal Island.
The Orange line measures 30 kilometres (19 mi) in length and counts 31 stations. Like the rest of the Metro network, it is entirely underground. The line runs in a U-shape from Côte-Vertu metro station in northwestern Montreal to Montmorency metro station in Laval, northeast of Montreal.

Famous quotes containing the words orange and/or line:
“A hook shot kisses the rim and
hangs there, helplessly, but doesnt drop
and for once our gangly starting center
boxes out his man and times his jump
perfectly, gathering the orange leather
from the air like a cherished possession”
—Edward Hirsch (b. 1950)
“Our job is now clear. All Americans must be prepared to make, on a 24 hour schedule, every war weapon possible and the war factory line will use men and materials which will bring, the war effort to every man, woman, and child in America. All one hundred thirty million of us will be needed to answer the sunrise stealth of the Sabbath Day Assassins.”
—Lyndon Baines Johnson (19081973)
