Orange Line (KMRT)
The Orange Line is an East-West line of the Kaohsiung Mass Rapid Transit in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. It opened on September 14, 2008, the day of Mid-Autumn Festival, for a week-long free trial service. After the free trial service, the Kaohsiung Mass Rapid Transit offered a month-long single one-way promotional NT$15 service on both the Red and the Orange line, with regular ticket price applies after this.
The 14.4 kilometres (8.9 mi) line has 14 stations and is the second metro line to open in southern Taiwan. Shortly prior to opening, flaws such as emergency exit lighted signs, unclear ticket displays, and jammed emergency exits were fixed. Although it was originally supposed to open with the Red Line, it was delayed due to tunnel collapse during construction December 2005.

Famous quotes containing the words orange and/or line:
“A hook shot kisses the rim and
hangs there, helplessly, but doesnt drop
and for once our gangly starting center
boxes out his man and times his jump
perfectly, gathering the orange leather
from the air like a cherished possession”
—Edward Hirsch (b. 1950)
“Michelangelo said to Pope Julius II, Self negation is noble, self-culture is beneficent, self-possession is manly, but to the truly great and inspiring soul they are poor and tame compared to self-abuse. Mr. Brown, here, in one of his latest and most graceful poems refers to it in an eloquent line which is destined to live to the end of timeNone know it but to love it, None name it but to praise.”
—Mark Twain [Samuel Langhorne Clemens] (18351910)
