Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan
The Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan Board (OTPP), commonly referred to as Teachers' (French: RĂ©gime de retraite des enseignantes et des enseignants de l'Ontario), is the organization responsible for administering pensions for public school teachers of the Canadian province of Ontario. The OTPP also invests the plan's pension fund, making it one of the largest and most powerful investment groups currently operating in Canada. For this reason, the group has made several major transactions, such as the purchase of Cadillac Fairview in 2000 as well as a stake in the now defunct CTVglobemedia in 2006. The plan is a multi-employer pension plan, jointly sponsored by the Government of Ontario and the Ontario Teachers' Federation.

“The nonconformist and the rebel say all manner of unanswerable things against the existing republic, but discover to our sense no plan of house or state of their own.”
