OMON
OMON (Russian: Отряд мобильный особого назначения; Otryad Mobilniy Osobovo Naznacheniya, Special Purpose Mobile Unit) (ОМОН) is a generic name for the system of special units of Politsiya (police) within the Russian and earlier the Soviet MVD (Ministry of Internal Affairs).
