After two strangers on his London street had asked if they could use his lavatory at 5am in 2002, and he agreed to let them do so, they then stole his credit cards and other belongings. Famous quotes containing the words personal and/or life:

The city is a fact in nature, like a cave, a run of mackerel or an ant-heap. But it is also a conscious work of art, and it holds within its communal framework many simpler and more personal forms of art. Mind takes form in the city; and in turn, urban forms condition mind.
    Lewis Mumford (1895–1990)

You must not eat with it anything leavened. For seven days you shall eat unleavened bread with it -the bread of affliction -because you came out of the land of Egypt in great haste, so that all the days of your life you may remember the day of your departure from the land of Egypt.
    Bible: Hebrew, Deuteronomy 16:3.
