Death Row
The majority of male death row inmates are held at the Chillicothe Correctional Institution, while some that are considered a high security risk are held at the Ohio State Penitentiary and those with serious medical conditions are held at the Franklin Medical Center. Female death row inmates are housed in the Ohio Reformatory for Women. Executions occur at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility.

Famous quotes containing the words death and/or row:
“There is a rhythm to the ending of a marriage just like the rhythm of a courtshiponly backward. You try to start again but get into blaming over and over. Finally you are both worn out, exhausted, hopeless. Then lawyers are called in to pick clean the corpses. The death has occurred much earlier.”
—Erica Jong (b. 1942)
“all afternoon
Their witless offspring flock like piped rats to its siren
Crescendo, and agape on the crumbling ridge
Stand in a row and learn.”
—William Stanley Merwin (b. 1927)
