Conservation
The historic Synagogue has been listed as a Grade I historic building since 1990 and it is part of the Central and Western Heritage Trail. Its renovation in 1998 obtained the Outstanding Project Award of the 2000 UNESCO Asia-Pacific Heritage Awards for Culture Heritage Conservation.
