    • Monday Night Football – Pittsburgh Steelers 24, San Diego Chargers 22: Jeff Reed's 40-yard field goal with six seconds left gave the Steelers the win, but it came with a price as Steeler QB Ben Roethlisberger suffered a hyperextended left knee with a bone bruise on the winning drive.   • Major League Baseball (Non-postseason news): Ed Wade was fired as general manager of the Philadelphia Phillies after the team missed the playoffs by one game.
