Nunawading Railway Station
Nunawading is a railway station on the Lilydale and Belgrave railway lines, in the suburb of Nunawading in Melbourne, Australia. It is located in Public Transport Victoria ticketing Zone 2, and has two platforms. Nunawading railway station has been upgraded to a Premium Station in 2010 along with the grade separation of Springvale Road, as outlined in the Victorian Transport Plan in December 2008.
The original station was closed on 18 December 2009 and was demolished, with a replacement station being built on the west side of Springvale Road.
Space was provided in the replacement station, for a third track and platform which may be added in the future to run more services.

Famous quotes containing the words railway and/or station:
“Her personality had an architectonic quality; I think of her when I see some of the great London railway termini, especially St. Pancras, with its soot and turrets, and she overshadowed her own daughters, whom she did not understandmy mother, who liked things to be nice; my dotty aunt. But my mother had not the strength to put even some physical distance between them, let alone keep the old monster at emotional arms length.”
—Angela Carter (19401992)
“I introduced her to Elena, and in that life-quickening atmosphere of a big railway station where everything is something trembling on the brink of something else, thus to be clutched and cherished, the exchange of a few words was enough to enable two totally dissimilar women to start calling each other by their pet names the very next time they met.”
—Vladimir Nabokov (18991977)
