Combat formations of the Norwegian Army

In 2009 the Army introduced the new command and control lines. The General Inspector now commands three subordinate major commands and 5 smaller support units:

  • Brigade Nord
  • Forsvarets Spesialkommando
  • Army Weapons School
  • Garnisonen i Sør-Varanger
  • HM the Kings Guard
  • Military Academy
  • Logistic and Operational Support
  • Army Operations Support
