Brain Bee
There is one level, 8-12 grade. The competition is only in the finals, and anyone can go. There are as many rounds as needed, as it is a three strike basis (contestant gets a strike when answer is incorrect). When there are five players, the remaining players' strikes are wiped off. The winner will go to the National Brain Bee (not conducted by the foundation) and the winner of that can go to the International Brain Bee (again, not conducted by the foundation.).

Famous quotes containing the words brain and/or bee:
“The analogy between the mind and a computer fails for many reasons. The brain is constructed by principles that assure diversity and degeneracy. Unlike a computer, it has no replicative memory. It is historical and value driven. It forms categories by internal criteria and by constraints acting at many scales, not by means of a syntactically constructed program. The world with which the brain interacts is not unequivocally made up of classical categories.”
—Gerald M. Edelman (b. 1928)
“She saw a dust bearing bee sink into the sanctum of a bloom; the thousand sister calxes arch to meet the love embrace and the ecstatic shiver of the tree from root to tiniest branch creaming in every blossom and frothing with delight. So this was a marriage!”
—Zora Neale Hurston (18911960)
