North Harbour Stadium is a stadium, situated in Albany, in North Shore City, New Zealand. It was opened in 1997, after nearly a decade of discussion, planning and construction. Rugby union, soccer and rugby League are the only sports played on the main ground, as it is rectangular in shape. The neighbouring oval plays host to the region's major cricket matches. The stadium also hosts large open air concerts.

Famous quotes containing the words north, harbour and/or stadium:
“Civilization does not engross all the virtues of humanity: she has not even her full share of them. They flourish in greater abundance and attain greater strength among many barbarous people. The hospitality of the wild Arab, the courage of the North American Indian, and the faithful friendships of some of the Polynesian nations, far surpass any thing of a similar kind among the polished communities of Europe.”
—Herman Melville (18191891)
“Patience, the beggars virtue, Shall find no harbour here.”
—Philip Massinger (15831640)
“The final upshot of thinking is the exercise of volition, and of this thought no longer forms a part; but belief is only a stadium of mental action, an effect upon our nature due to thought, which will influence future thinking.”
—Charles Sanders Peirce (18391914)
