The main campus is spread out over 200 acres (0.81 km2) and is just nine blocks from downtown Greensboro. The campus is divided into three zones which contain administrative, classroom, and residence halls. A portion of the campus is the Agricultural and Technical College of North Carolina Historic District, which was named to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.
