Apple's Final Cut Pro 7 software is being used by 54.6 percent of the professional editing community. Globally, broadcasters' master choice used to be Avid Media Composer and Final Cut Pro was used mainly in domestic usage. This positioning is slightly changing.

Famous quotes containing the words editors, brands, broadcast and/or industry:
“Narrowed-down by her early editors and anthologists, reduced to quaintness or spinsterish oddity by many of her commentators, sentimentalized, fallen-in-love with like some gnomic Garbo, still unread in the breadth and depth of her full range of work, she was, and is, a wonder to me when I try to imagine myself into that mind.”
—Adrienne Rich (b. 1929)
“On the other side, the conservative party, composed of the most moderate, able, and cultivated part of the population, is timid, and merely defensive of property. It vindicates no right, it aspires to no real good, it brands no crime, it proposes no generous policy, it does not build, nor write, nor cherish the arts, nor foster religion, nor establish schools, nor encourage science, nor emancipate the slave, nor befriend the poor, or the Indian, or the immigrant.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
“Listening to a news broadcast is like smoking a cigarette and crushing the butt in the ashtray.”
—Milan Kundera (b. 1929)
“That some should be rich, shows that others may become rich, and hence is just encouragement to industry and enterprise.”
—Abraham Lincoln (18091865)
