Supervised Agricultural Experience Programs
To be an active member in the National FFA Organization, a member must have an Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) project. The projects involve hands-on application of concepts and principles learned in the agricultural education classroom, with guidelines for the SAE projects governed by the state FFA delegation. SAE programs are grouped into four different areas:
- Exploratory - learning about the 'big picture' of agriculture and related careers
- Research/Experimentation and Analysis - conducting research or analysis of information to discover new knowledge
- Ownership/Entrepreneurship - planning and operation of an agriculture-related business
- Placement - working either for pay or experience in an agricultural setting

Famous quotes containing the words supervised, experience and/or programs:
“It is ultimately in employers best interests to have their employees families functioning smoothly. In the long run, children who misbehave because they are inadequately supervised or marital partners who disapprove of their spouses work situation are productivity problems. Just as work affects parents and children, parents and children affect the workplace by influencing the employed parents morale, absenteeism, and productivity.”
—Ann C. Crouter (20th century)
“Once Vogue showed two or three dresses for stout women, but we were so shaken by the experience we havent repeated it in fifty-seven years. Today ... we must acknowledge that a lady may grow mature, but she never grows fat.”
—Edna Woolman Chase (18771957)
“[The Republicans] offer ... a detailed agenda for national renewal.... [On] reducing illegitimacy ... the state will use ... funds for programs to reduce out-of-wedlock pregnancies, to promote adoption, to establish and operate childrens group homes, to establish and operate residential group homes for unwed mothers, or for any purpose the state deems appropriate. None of the taxpayer funds may be used for abortion services or abortion counseling.”
—Newt Gingrich (b. 1943)
