My Kind of Country (Reba McEntire Album)

My Kind Of Country (Reba McEntire album)

My Kind of Country is the eighth studio album by American singer Reba McEntire. It was her second album for MCA Records. My Kind of Country peaked at #13 on Billboard's (North America) Country Music Albums chart. Two tracks from the album rose to #1 on the Country Singles chart: "How Blue" and "Somebody Should Leave".

The track "It's Not Over (If I'm Not over You)" was later recorded by Mark Chesnutt on two of his albums, first as a solo recording on his 1992 album Longnecks & Short Stories, and again in 1997 on his album Thank God for Believers. The latter recording, which featured Alison Krauss and Vince Gill on backing vocals, was issued as a single in 1998.

Famous quotes containing the word kind:

When I am finishing a picture I hold some God-made object up to it—a rock, a flower, the branch of a tree or my hand—as a kind of final test. If the painting stands up beside a thing man cannot make, the painting is authentic. If there’s a clash between the two, it is bad art.
    Marc Chagall (1889–1985)
