Extempo
Extempo, or extempo calypso, or calypso war, is a lyrically improvised (freestyled) form of calypso. An annual competition takes place at the Trinidad and Tobago Carnival for the title of Extempo Monarchthe art form was first recorded in 1940s in Trinidad but it started long before this time, it was in the plantation where the slaves used to mimic the slave-drivers (by keron luke).
