The official Mozambican singles chart was established in 1971 the first number one was "Sada Voo" by Dededede, the first number one album was Sann Sann Sann by Mini Nini Onini, the first number one single by a non-Mozambican artist was " I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing (In Perfect Harmony)" by The New Seekers and the first non-Mozambican number one album was Imagine by John Lennon. The current number one is "City Like This (Olympics Remix)" by Marlon Roudette, the current number one album is Run Wild by Maputo Gangstazz. Both charts are compiled on Fridays.
