Personal Life
Rogers married model and media personality Chloe Maxwell on the Gold Coast on 26 October 2008.
Rogers has been committed to raising awareness about the debilitating disease depression, which affects one in six men, since the death of his father Steve in January 2006.
He has signed on to be an ambassador for Movember, an initiative that encourages men to grow a moustache during November to raise funds for research into depression and prostate cancer.
His league legend father battled depression for three years and, while suicide was initially suspected, Steve's death after taking alcohol and prescription drugs was ruled an accident.
Mat has said he fears inheriting a propensity for the mental illness, which affects 1 million Australians. He has made a pact with brother Don always to be honest about their feelings. He encouraged men to talk to family, doctors or mates.
Rogers has four children, Jack and Skyla from a previous relationship and Maxwell Danger (born 5 June 2006) daughter Phoenix (born 21 September 2007) to current wife, Chloe Maxwell. Maxwell advised on Twitter she was pregnant again in 2012.

Famous quotes containing the words personal and/or life:
“I was not at all apprehensive about ... disease ... [it] had no terrors for me. The thing I most feared in the world was hunger. That was something of which I had personal knowledge.”
—Madeleine [Blair], U.S. prostitute and madam. Madeleine, ch. 4 (1919)
“Parents vary in their sense of what would be suitable repayment for creating, sustaining, and tolerating you all those years, and what circumstances would be drastic enough for presenting the voucher. Obviously there is no repayment that would be sufficient . . . but the effort to call in the debt of life is too outrageous to be treated as anything other than a joke.”
—Frank Pittman (20th century)
