Hilty plays the role of Ivy Lynn, a veteran actress who receives the role of Marilyn in the fictional musical based on her life entitled "Bombshell." Thurman plays the role of Rebecca Duvall, a movie actress who later obtains the role after it's decided they need a star to get the musical off the ground. McPhee plays the role of Karen Cartwright, a chorus girl who becomes Duvall's understudy and finally lands the role by the end of the first season. (2012)
