Malt Liquor - Manufacture

Manufacture

Malt liquor is a strong lager or ale in which sugar, corn or other adjuncts are added to the malted barley to boost the total amount of fermentable sugars in the wort, and thus the final alcoholic strength produced. These beers tend to be mildly hopped, that is, they are not very bitter.

Famous quotes containing the word manufacture:

Yes, that’s what I needed. Living flesh from humans for my experiments. What difference did it make if a few people had to die? Their flesh taught me how to manufacture arms, legs, faces that are human. I’ll make a crippled world whole again.
Robert Tusker, and Michael Curtiz. Wells (Preston Foster)

The great cry that rises from all our manufacturing cities, louder than the furnace blast, is all in very deed for this—that we manufacture everything there except men.
    John Ruskin (1819–1900)

Culture is an instrument wielded by teachers to manufacture teachers, who, in their turn, will manufacture still more teachers.
    Simone Weil (1909–1943)
