Malik Ambar Designs The Neher System
Malik Amber is especially famous for the Neher, the water system, (Aurangabad) the rendering of which to this day is a miracle. His plan for the Nehar was met with sarcasm and ridicule. Vazir Mullah Mohammad declared it as a preposterous fancy which would require 'Um-Re-Noh' (Noh’s life span), 'Sab-Re-Ayub' ( Ayub’s patience), 'Khazana-Kharun' ( Kharun’s treasure). But Malik Ambar completed the Neher within fifteen months, spending a nominal sum of two and a half lakhs. This city is situated on the banks of river Kham, a small perennial stream which takes it’s rise in the neighbouring hill. "
The famous Panchakki (Pan means Water and Chakki means tread-mill )was supplied with the water of Naher Aye Ambri, the blades of the Panchakki used to rotate by the water which used to falls on the blades of Panchakki. The tower of water ( which used to work as a Valve to bring out air )are still present in the old city Aurangabad in Labor colony, Junabazar area and many other are present in the city .

Famous quotes containing the words designs and/or system:
“He began therefore to invest the fortress of my heart by a circumvallation of distant bows and respectful looks; he then entrenched his forces in the deep caution of never uttering an unguarded word or syllable. His designs being yet covered, he played off from several quarters a large battery of compliments. But here he found a repulse from the enemy by an absolute rejection of such fulsome praise, and this forced him back again close into his former trenches.”
—Sarah Fielding (17101768)
“If mothers are to be successful in achieving their child-rearing goals, they must have the inner freedom to find their own value system and within that system to find what is acceptable to them and what is not. This means leaving behind the anxiety, but also the security, of simplistic good-bad formulations and deciding for themselves what they want to teach their children.”
—Elaine Heffner (20th century)
