Malakar

Malakar (Bengali: মালাকার) is a Bengali Hindu surname spread throughout West Bengal and Bangladesh. The Malakars are traditionally garlander by trade. The governments of India and West Bengal both have classified Malakars under Other Backward Classes but lot of them continued belonging to General category.
