The Mahoning River flows through Lawrence and Mercer counties in Pennsylvania, and Columbiana, Mahoning, Trumbull, and Portage counties in Ohio. The three main tributaries of the Mahoning River are Mosquito Creek, West Branch, and Eagle Creek, all in Ohio.
