High School and College Career

After playing quarterback at Notre Dame Regional Secondary School in East Vancouver, Passaglia, not straying far from home, accepted an athletic scholarship to local Simon Fraser University in suburban Burnaby, British Columbia. At Simon Fraser, Passaglia played wide receiver as well as kicker/punter. As a member of the Clan, Passaglia recorded 175 career points, won All NAIA District 1 honours twice, and was named an All-Northwest All-Star. Passaglia was the fifth-overall selection of the BC Lions in the 1976 CFL season Canadian College Draft, as a kicker and wide receiver.

Famous quotes containing the words high, school, college and/or career:

    What you have said
I will consider; what you have to say
I will with patience hear, and find a time
Both meet to hear and answer such high things.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)

Green, green is El Aghir. It has a railway station,
And the wealth of its soil has borne many another fruit:
A mairie, a school and an elegant Salle de Fetes.
Such blessings, as I remarked, in effect, to the waiter,
Are added unto them that have plenty of water.
    Norman Cameron (b. 1905)

The only trouble here is they won’t let us study enough. They are so afraid we shall break down and you know the reputation of the College is at stake, for the question is, can girls get a college degree without ruining their health?
    Ellen Henrietta Swallow Richards (1842–1911)

A black boxer’s career is the perfect metaphor for the career of a black male. Every day is like being in the gym, sparring with impersonal opponents as one faces the rudeness and hostility that a black male must confront in the United States, where he is the object of both fear and fascination.
    Ishmael Reed (b. 1938)
