Lorna is a modern feminine given name. It is a Variant of the Given Girls Name Laura meaning Laurel Webster's New World College Dictionary. This accreditation is mistaken, however, as there the Scottish censuses of 1841 and 1851 reveal individuals of the name, with variant spellings 'Lorna' and 'Launa'.
