Longshot (film)
Longshot: The Movie is a 2001 teen film directed by Lionel C. Martin. It opened briefly in select theaters in Germany. The film was not shown in theaters in North America, but rather was released as a video and DVD only available through the film's web site. It was also released in select FYE stores with the movie Crossroads, which starred Britney Spears. It has since been shown on television. About one third of the film was service produced in Toronto (standing in for New York) under contract with The Danforth Studios Ltd (a subsidiary of SpaceWorks Entertainment Inc.)
Many bubblegum pop artists, such as O-Town, Britney Spears, Innosense (of which Spears was formerly a member), *NSYNC and rapper Lil' Kim, were given small roles in the film. Producer Lou Pearlman was affiliated with these other pop artists during the late 1990s and 2000.
