List of World's Fairs

This is a list of world's fairs, a comprehensive chronological list of world's fairs (with notable permanent buildings built). For an annotated list of all world's fairs sanctioned by the Bureau of International Expositions (BIE) see List of world expositions.

As an aside, the oldest North American expo calling itself a World's Fair is actually the World's Fair of Tunbridge, Vermont, which is held yearly. It assumed the title of "world's fair" in 1867. However, it is not a "world's fair" in the same expansive sense as the following entries of this page.

1790s - 1800s - 1820s - 1830s - 1840s - 1850s - 1860s - 1870s - 1880s - 1890s - 1900s - 1910s - 1920s - 1930s - 1940s - 1950s - 1960s - 1970s - 1980s - 1990s - 2000s - 2010s - 2020s
