Line matrix printers can handle highly recycled paper stock, use cartridge ribbons which yield 30,000 printed pages before replacement and have printer hardware with much longer life cycles. Unlike laser printers which have been criticized for their environmental emissions, line matrix printers don’t emit harmful particulates into the workplace.
