Lepista

Lepista is a deprecated genus of mushrooms, formerly grouped in the large genus Tricholoma and more recently found to be a synonym of Clitocybe. However, Clitocybe itself appears polyphyletic and may have to be split. According to the Dictionary of the Fungi (10th edition, 2008), the widespread genus contains about 50 species.
