Lensk

Lensk (Russian: Ленск; ; Sakha: Мухтуйа, Muxtuya) is a town and the administrative center of Lensky District of the Sakha Republic, Russia, located on the left bank of the Lena River, approximately 840 kilometers (520 mi) west of Yakutsk, the capital of the republic. Population: 24,955 (2010 Census preliminary results); 24,558 (2002 Census); 30,260 (1989 Census).
