Lambardar
Lambardar (Punjabi, Urdu: لمبردار), (synonym Nambardar) is a title in Pakistan which applies to powerful families of zamindars of the village or town, a state-privileged status generally hereditary and equivalent to an English duke, who in many cases has wide ranging governmental powers: the policing authority of the village, and many other governmental and administrative perks. In contrast the very powerful Zaildar had power over 20 to 400 villages.
