Notorious, till all my priceless things
Are but a post the passing dogs defile.”
—William Butler Yeats (18651939)
“This is not Johnsons war. This is Americas war. If I drop dead tomorrow, this war will still be with you.”
—Lyndon Baines Johnson (19081973)
“Each of the professions means a prejudice. The necessity for a career forces every one to take sides. We live in the age of the overworked, and the under-educated; the age in which people are so industrious that they become absolutely stupid.”
—Oscar Wilde (18541900)
