Ticketing
Electronic ticketing (E-Commet) was inaugurated on February 1, 2012 in order to prevent fare evasion. The ticketing system is currently under study, with the aim of simplifying the loop-line system and overlapping feeders as well as integrating ticketing with TransJakarta. In the new system, the prepaid E-Commet card is held close (5 to 7 centimeters) to a sensor in order to deduct fare and open the ticket gate. Paper tickets continue to be accepted until electronic ticketing is fully implemented at all stations, which is predicted to happen by July 2012.
