- Mysore Lamps established in 1936, Bangalore
- Mysore Sugar Mills established in 1933, Mandya
- KR Mills established in 1933, Mysore
- Indian Institute of Science established in 1901, Bangalore
- Mysore University established in 1916, Mysore
- KR Hydro Electric Station (Later re named as Mahatma Gandhi Hydro electric Station)
- First Hydro Electric Project in India at Shivanasamudram
- School of Engineering established in 1916: Later renamed as UVCE
- State Bank of Mysore established in 1913
- City Improvement Trust Board, first of its kind in India
- Hindusthan Aircrafts established in 1940 later renamed as Hindustan Aeronautics Limited
- Kannada Sahithya Parishat established in 1915
- Krishna Raja Sagar dam established in 1924
- Irwin Canal: Later named as Visveshwariaha Canal
