During the reign of Sri Nalvadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar, Mysore State saw an allround development. Assisted with able Dewan's the overall economy of Mysore State grew and was considered as a model state. A few of the achivements during his reign

  7. Indian Institute of Science established in 1901, Bangalore
  8. Mysore University established in 1916, Mysore
  9. KR Hydro Electric Station (Later re named as Mahatma Gandhi Hydro electric Station)
  10. First Hydro Electric Project in India at Shivanasamudram
  11. School of Engineering established in 1916: Later renamed as UVCE

  13. City Improvement Trust Board, first of its kind in India
