History
The line was opened by Osaka Electric Railway Company (大阪電気軌道, Osaka Denki Kidō?) in 1914.
In 1970, the Namba Line was opened, and the operational starting station of the Line moved to Kintetsu Namba Station, until then Uehonmachi Station of Osaka Line.
