Kid Flash - Other Version

Other Version

In the continuity of The Flash TV Series, an alternate version of Kid Flash was introduced. In the story, he's a street punk recently turning 18 who goes by the name Vince Everett. After running from the police, Vince ends up in police lab, where Tina McGee is setting up the conditions (Generator and chemicals) that gave Barry his speed. Vince gets caught up in the experiment and gains the same speed as The Flash, dubbing himself Kid Flash. He proves to be more than a match for Barry as he sustains his energy without having to eat, but loses his powers after running so fast that he vibrates through a wall and is arrested.

Famous quotes containing the word version:

Truth cannot be defined or tested by agreement with ‘the world’; for not only do truths differ for different worlds but the nature of agreement between a world apart from it is notoriously nebulous. Rather—speaking loosely and without trying to answer either Pilate’s question or Tarski’s—a version is to be taken to be true when it offends no unyielding beliefs and none of its own precepts.
    Nelson Goodman (b. 1906)

If the only new thing we have to offer is an improved version of the past, then today can only be inferior to yesterday. Hypnotised by images of the past, we risk losing all capacity for creative change.
    Robert Hewison (b. 1943)
