Famous quotes containing the words kernel, virtual, address and/or space:

After night’s thunder far away had rolled
The fiery day had a kernel sweet of cold
    Edward Thomas (1878–1917)

Tragedy dramatizes human life as potentiality and fulfillment. Its virtual future, or Destiny, is therefore quite different from that created in comedy. Comic Destiny is Fortune—what the world will bring, and the man will take or miss, encounter or escape; tragic Destiny is what the man brings, and the world will demand of him. That is his Fate.
    Susanne K. Langer (1895–1985)

Take a red book called TELEPHONE,
size eight by four. There it sits.
My red book, name, address and number.
These are all people that I somehow own.
Yet some of these names are counterfeit.
    Anne Sexton (1928–1974)

    Shall we now
Contaminate our fingers with base bribes,
And sell the mighty space of our large honors
For so much trash as may be grasped thus?
I had rather be a dog and bay the moon
    Than such a Roman.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)
