Kay Bailey Hutchison - Personal Life

Personal Life

Hutchison’s husband, Ray is senior counsel with the law firm Bracewell & Giuliani LLP. His principal area of practice is public finance, makes slightly less than a half million dollars a year in combined salary and deferred compensation. In addition to her husband's compensation as an attorney, records provided by her campaign show that the couple has a large financial stake in ExxonMobil, valued at between $250,000 and $500,000, along with other stock holdings and equity investments, which have also provided them with a yearly dividend income of about $60,000 a year since 2001. The Hutchison family reported assets of between $2.8 million and $6.7 million in 2008, not including homes used for residential purposes, Senate records show. The Senate records give ranges of asset value, making an exact calculation impossible.

Famous quotes containing the words personal and/or life:

Wilson adventured for the whole of the human race. Not as a servant, but as a champion. So pure was this motive, so unflecked with anything that his worst enemies could find, except the mildest and most excusable, a personal vanity, practically the minimum to be human, that in a sense his adventure is that of humanity itself. In Wilson, the whole of mankind breaks camp, sets out from home and wrestles with the universe and its gods.
    William Bolitho (1890–1930)

Here lies the body of William Jones
Who all his life collected bones,
Till Death, that grim and boney spectre,
    That universal bone collector,
Boned old Jones, so neat and tidy,
And here he lies, all bona fide.
—Anonymous. “Epitaph on William Jones,” from Eleanor Broughton’s Varia (1925)
